We're here to help

How can we help?

Dayrift is a small app made by a small team. If you've hit a snag, found a bug, or just want to share what you're counting toward — we'd love to hear from you.

Email us support@crimson-io.com We try to reply within a day or two.

Common questions

Frequently asked.

How does iCloud sync work?

Dayrift uses Apple's CloudKit to mirror your events into your private iCloud — the same iCloud that backs up Photos and Notes. As long as you're signed into iCloud on your iPhone, sync happens automatically in the background.

We never see your data. CloudKit stores everything in your iCloud account, not ours.

How do I add a Dayrift widget to my Home Screen?

Long-press your Home Screen until the icons jiggle, then tap the + in the top-left corner. Search for Dayrift, choose a size (small, medium, or large), and tap Add Widget.

To pin the widget to a specific event, long-press the widget after adding it, choose Edit Widget, and pick which event to feature.

Can I use a custom color, not just the sixteen presets?

Yes. When you create or edit an event, tap the color row and scroll past the preset gradients — you'll find a custom-color picker that takes any RGB value. Dayrift will generate a matching two-stop gradient automatically.

How do recurring events work?

Set an event to repeat daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly. Once the event date passes, Dayrift advances the date automatically to the next occurrence, so a birthday set in 2024 will keep ticking forward year after year without you doing anything.

The "original date" is preserved, so a 30th birthday in 2055 will still show that the event has been recurring since the original year.

How do I export my events?

Open Settings inside Dayrift and tap Export Events. You'll get a CSV file with one row per event (name, date, emoji, recurrence, notes) that opens in Numbers, Excel, or any spreadsheet tool.

How do I delete all my events?

Open Settings inside the app and tap Clear All Events. You'll be asked to confirm, and the deletion will propagate through your iCloud as well if sync is enabled.

Uninstalling the app removes the local copy. To also clear the iCloud copy, go to iOS Settings → your Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage → Dayrift → Delete Data.

What iOS version do I need?

Dayrift requires iOS 17 or later. Widgets and iCloud sync use features introduced in that release.

Is there a Mac or iPad version?

Not yet. Dayrift currently ships as an iPhone-only app. If you'd like to see a Mac or iPad version, please tell us — we keep a list, and your interest helps us prioritize.

I found a bug. What should I include?

Email support@crimson-io.com with:

— what you were doing when it happened
— what you expected to happen
— what actually happened
— the iOS version (Settings → General → About)
— the Dayrift version (Settings → Version inside the app)

A screenshot or screen recording is a huge help if you can include one.
